Accessing safe maternity care is the universal rights of childbearing women! 

With a civil war that caused long term instability in the governance in this east African nation, the public infrastructure for health and education have been neglected and depleted. Vital health care access and resources have been left to the private realm of medical care leaving the poor and disenfranchised women of Somalia in a vulnerable situation. Somalia has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world.

OUR MISSION 

At Iftin, we believe access to a minimal standard of  reproductive healthcare is the right of every person in the 21st century. Our purpose is to help bridge the gap in women's health care left behind by the volatile political situation in Somalia.

Here at Iftin , an organization started by women in healthcare to tackle the women's reproductive health crisis in Somalia. We are driven to do our part in making the world a better place for women and girls.
